double_vee_2

FSX – North American AT-6 Texan “Double Vee”. This is a repaint for the freeware Warwick “Wozza” Carter AT-6G Texan. This repaint depicts the restored AT-6C/AT-6G 42-48884, N884TA, registered to Lewis Air Legends. This aircraft was assigned to Tuskegee Army Air Field throughout its service life as an advanced trainer during WWII. It is one of only two surviving AT-6 Texans known to have this connection to the Tuskegee Airmen, and is the only one flying. The aircraft has been nicknamed “Double Vee”, a term which describes the Tuskegee Airmens double victory over the Axis powers in Europe and over discrimination back home. By John Terrell.
