X-Plane 9.70 – Scenery Arcata-Eureka (KACV), Arcata, Eureka, California (CA), USA, 1.00. At 6046 feet, its runway 14 is long enough for military and regional jets. Its traffic is mostly military, and there is a U.S. Coast Guard facility in its western quadrant. Work was concentrated on only airport property structures. Several distinctive buildings prompted some Sketchup work to construct, including the commercial Arcata Airport terminal, original GA FBO hangar and the Humbolt County brick hangar/office. Includes some taxiway signs just for fun. The compass rose is by Colin S. Most of the buildings are custom, using some textures from Jacques Brault’s library, but some are OpensceneryX. Grass textures are by Simon W. Ortho images are from the USGS viewer, processed in the GIMP. OpenSceneryX is required. By Richard Nilsson.
