X-Plane 9 – Merlin

X-Plane 9 – Merlin. Merlin is a single place sport plane modeled around a conversion of a Garrett JFS-100-13A turboshaft engine. This is not a fantasy aircraft, but an actual conversion underway for a Zenair CH 601HD. (see instalation note inside acf folder) The merlin hawk/falcon is the smallest hawk in England, and is a fitting name. Needless to say it is short-coupled–so do not jerk it off at low speed, you are likely to snap-roll onto the runway. Otherwise the .acf is pretty tame. Since we do not have to pay the instrument bill, the panel has more goodies than you are likely to find in such a plane–that much is fantasy. By Ron Norvelle.
