2 A380s, 1 747-8, 6 747-400s, 2 A340-600s, 4 other A340s, 18 777s, 1 DC-10, 31 A330s and a 767. These are flown by 28 different carriers: Cathay, Dragonair and Hong Kong Airlines account for exactly half, but you’ll also see airlines from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America.

What an incredible day of planespotting this was for me! Can there be a better airport to watch landings than Hong Kong, where even short-haul flights and low-cost carriers commonly use widebodies? Watch this array of landings, filmed over a 5-6 hour period, and you’ll see what I mean.
