Air Mobility Liaison Officers (AMLO) brought their landing zone and drop zone operations expertise to Forward Operating Base (FOB) Farah to help maintain retrograde and help facilitate the movement of cargo and personnel as the base closes. FOB Farah will be officially transferred to the Afghan government in the next few weeks underscoring International Security Assistance Force’s commitment to meeting President Obama’s drawdown goal for 2014. Landing zone operations are instrumental as AMLOs provide the critical link of communication between airlift and ground and allow aircraft to land and take-off safely. Produced by MSgt Pedro Jimenez.
