No1_BFTS_Terrell_Field_b

FSX – British Flight Training Schools Texan. This is a set of repaints for the Warwick “Wozza” Carter AT-6G Texan (FSDS_T-6.ZIP). This repaint set includes four individual depictions of Texans that served in the British Flight Training School program. Included are examples from No. 1 BFTS Terrell Field, TX (Terrell Aviation School), No. 4 BFTS Falcon Field, AZ (Southwest Airways), and No. 6 BFTS Ponca City Airport, OK (Darr School of Aeronautics). The British Flight Training School program was established in the U.S. in 1941 to provide training locations for RAF cadets far from unfriendly skies. These schools would train British, Canadian, and American combat pilots, side-by-side, throughout WWII – many forming lasting bonds to the communities where they trained. By John Terrell.
