F9F-8 VT-21

FS2004 – US Navy Grumman F9F-8 Cougar VT-21. The Grumman Cougar was the first swept wing operational jet fighter to enter service with the US Navy. F9F-8s were withdrawn from front-line service in 1958-59. In the 1962 redesignation, these were called TF-9J and were extensively used for intermediate pilot training and carrier qualifications during the mid 60’s. This package represents a TF-9J on the VT-21 training squadron colors at NAS Kingsville, TX. Textures only, requires David Wooster’s F9F Cougar (F9F_COUGAR.ZIP). By Juan Antonio Martinez C.
