Flying the Dreamliner: Thomson Airways Inaugural B787-8 Service Mahon-Gatwick (Full Flight)

On June 21st 2013, Thomson Airways became the first British airline to begin commercial passenger Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner services.

But before being deployed on TUI’s long haul network, the 787 was put on a number of European services. I was along on the return leg of the first ever Thomson Dreamliner service flying from Mahon, Spain to London Gatwick. I flew out especially to Mahon that morning.

This video features the full flight; from G-TUIA’s arrival into Mahon to it’s departure and arrival into Gatwick. There are a few little surprises along the way too, featuring some of the new B787 Dreamliner ‘gadgets’ and the new improved Thompson Airways Long Haul product.
