Pegasus Airlines signs base maintenance contract for Boeing 737NG

aviation_newsPegasus Airlines, the leading low-cost airline in Turkey and Lufthansa Technik have signed a base maintenance contract for three C-Checks for Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737NG aircraft at the Lufthansa Technik base maintenance location in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Sertac Haybat, General Manager and Member of The Board of Pegasus Airlines, stated: “We have been very satisfied with the base maintenance work Lufthansa Technik delivered to us beginning of 2012. It is therefore not surprising that we would trust Lufthansa Technik to deliver the same quality and level of service at a very competitive price once again.”

Wolfgang Weynell, Vice President Marketing & Sales of Lufthansa Technik added: “This new contract is the latest milestone of the partnership between Lufthansa Technik and Pegasus Airlines, one of our most important customers in the region. It is also a proof of the good competitiveness of our products.”

Lufthansa Technik has opened 2012 a representative office in the Turkish metropolis Istanbul – a step that acknowledges the growing importance of the Turkish market. Turkey is one of the ten most strongly growing countries around the world and the aviation industry in particular is steadily gaining in importance.
