Southwest Airlines Appearance Techs Ratify Tentative Agreement With Company

Southwest Airlines is pleased to announce that its Appearance Techs, represented by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), voted to ratify its tentative agreement with the Company. The new contract is good through February 2017. The current collective bargaining agreement became amendable in February 2009.

“I want to thank our Appearance Techs for ratifying a contract that delivers enhancements to pay and benefits in exchange for work rule adjustments that provide better flexibility and more closely align with the Company’s long-term strategic business plan,” said Jim Sokol, Southwest Airlines Vice President Maintenance Operations. “The work both Negotiating Teams put in to this effort should be commended.”
