Ryanair’s Stansted Flights Will Not Be Disrupted By Unite Industrial Action

Ryanair today (21 May) said it will not allow its flights or passengers to be blackmailed by the Unite Union who have yet again announced their intention to take industrial action at London Stansted Airport over the coming weeks.

Ryanair will operate a full schedule of flights to/from Stansted airport during the planned periods of disruption (23 – 24 May; 26 – 28 May; 2 – 6 June) even if this blackmail action is taken by Unite Union members. Ryanair will allow all passengers to use Ryanair’s web check-in service and travel with carry-on luggage only in order to ensure passengers’ travel plans are not disrupted by this unfair and unjustified action.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“It is irresponsible of the Unite Union to hold passengers to ransom each year. Ryanair will not allow these unions to blackmail or disrupt our passengers. If this threatened industrial action goes ahead we will ask passengers to check-in online and travel with carry-on luggage only.”
