Brussels South Charleroi: +2% traffic in the first quarter of 2012

Brussels South Charleroi Airport registered a total of 1,226,523 passengers in January,

February and March 2012. This concerns an increase of 2% compared to the
1,202,625 passengers registered in the same period last year.
In March, the airport registered 460,711 passengers, which also represents a 2%
increase compared to the 451,090 travelers recorded in March 2011.
The modest, but remaining, passenger growth fits perfectly into the airport’s strategy
to focus on manageable growth, in accordance to the airport’s current operational
constraints.

During the last week of March, 8 new summer routes were launched from Brussels
South Charleroi Airport: Alghero, Chania, Corfu, Memmingen (Munich-West), Rodez
and Turku operated by Ryanair and Nice and Palma de Mallorca operated by
Jetairfly. In the same week, Wizz Air increased its flight frequencies to and from
Budapest from 11 to 14 per week.
