Lisbon airport January traffic report

 In January 2012, Lisbon airport registered 987.991 passengers (+1,9%), 10.469 aircraft movements (-3,7%) and 6.512,9 tons of cargo (-4.7%), which represents the best January ever at Lisbon Airport in terms of passengers’ output. 

Legacy carriers were the main growth driver, particularly TAP Portugal (+4,8%) which represented in January 2012 63,1% of LIS commercial traffic. The TOP5 carriers which contributed the most to LIS growth in January were TAP Portugal, Air France, Air Europa, TAAG and Turkish Airlines. 
Low-cost traffic had a decrease of 2,4% as well as charter traffic which continues to follow the 2011 trend of sharp decline (-57,2%). 
Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States were the markets which registered the most significant growth at LIS.
