Munich Airport: FMG Supervisory Board elects new chairman – Finance minister Dr. Markus Söder now at the helm of the Supervisory Board

 The Supervisory Board of FMG, the Munich Airport operating company, elected a new chairman at its meeting on Friday. Dr. Markus Söder, the Bavarian finance minister, was chosen to succeed the departing chairman Georg Fahrenschon. Mr. Fahrenschon has headed the Supervisory Board since December 2008 in his capacity as Bavarian finance minister. 



Heinrich Birner, the Munich district managing director of the ver.di union, was elected as deputy chairman. Birner has been a member of the FMG Supervisory Board since 1996.
