FSX – Lavochkin La-9

FSX – Lavochkin La-9 fighter. The Lavochkin La9 was the most powerful of the Lavochkin piston fighters. Development of the Lavochkin La-9 began in 1945. It was a follow-through of the La-7 which was a proven fighter at the time. The La-9 had an all metal construction. The wings were slightly more cut-off at the tips instead of the more elliptical tips of the previous fighters. The new fighter, entered production in August 1946. A total of 1559 aircraft were built by the end of production in 1948. Aeroplane Heaven freeware upgraded to FSX by A F. Scrub.
