The number of Icelandair´s passengers in the first 10 months of the year is already 60 thousand higher than for the full year 2010

Icelandair carried 146 thousand passengers in October, an increase of 13% as compared to October last year. The capacity increase in October was 18% and the seat load factor was 81.5%, which corresponds to a decrease of 0.9 percentage points as compared to October 2010. The number of passengers increased in all markets, with the highest increase of 18% in the market to Iceland. Icelandair transported 1,540 thousand passengers in the first 10 months of 2011, which is 60 thousand passengers more as compared to the full year 2010.

Air Iceland carried 29 thousand passengers in October, which was a decrease of 4% from October last year. Seat load factor was 67.6%. Sold hours in the capacity sector decreased by 13%. Freight increased by 7%.

The number of available hotel room nights at Icelandair Hotels was up by 12% from last year and the room utilization rate was 63.4%.
