easyJet’s Tel Aviv route flying high

EasyJet celebrates the 2nd anniversary of its popular route between London Luton and Tel Aviv. The route has been so successful that during the last two years easyJet has flown over 215,000 passengers.

When the route launched in November 2009 easyJet operated four flights a week, but due to strong demand the airline increased the route to operate daily flights earlier this year.

The success of this route is due to its flying schedule and *affordable fares, which are considerably cheaper than other carriers on the route.

Hugh Aitken, UK commercial manager at easyJet, said: “As the only low-fares airline for the London – Tel Aviv route, easyJet has clearly hit the mark with both leisure and business travellers by making travel easy and affordable as well as providing great opportunities to both British and Israeli travellers.

Flying over 215,000 passengers since our inaugural flight in November 2009 is a great achievement, which has undoubtedly provided a significant contribution to the Israeli tourism industry.”
