More problems for Qantas A-380 aircraft

The vicissitudes of the A-380 aircraft operated by the Australian carrier Qantas seem to have no end, which after the recent events related to the Trent 900 engine another problem has occurred.

The Captain of the QF flight operated by an A-380/800 Airbus was forced to land at Dubai after taking-off from the “Singapore-Changi Airport” directed to London-Heathrow, carrying 258 passengers and 25 crew members, due to an engine shut down caused by an insufficient amount of oil.

From the moment that the engine shut down till the landing, the aircraft remained airborne for about two and a half hours.

The engine in question is a Trent 972.
