FSX – USAF F-16 522 Fireballs. This is Kirk Olssons F-16 Viper updated for Flight Simulator X. The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multirole fighter originally developed for the United States Air Force. Designed as a lightweight day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4400 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1976. This aircraft is a member of the 522d Fighter Squadron known as the “Fireballs” whose primary mission is to maintain a continuous ability to rapidly deploy and support American unified commanders worldwide with day or night F16 combat operations. Additionally, the unit mission includes the ability to decisively employ the F-16 throughout the entire spectrum of offensive and defensive missions, including air interdiction, close air support, strategic attack and counter-air, through employing a wide variety of conventional, precision-guided and nuclear weapons.
