FS2004 PIA Sikorsky S-61N


 
FS2004 PIA Sikorsky S-61N, registration AP-AOA. Pakistan International Airlines Sikorsky S-61N AP-AOA, Dave Hardcastle’s model. It wears one of the two variations which PIA’s helicopters proudly wore during their operation in Bangladesh, then East Pakistan. This variation includes ‘PIA’ on the tail section, and ‘Pakistan International’ written on the left side of the helicopter. AP-AOA was one of three amphibious S-61N helicopters flown by the airline for scheduled short-haul flights in East Pakistans delta region. AP-AOA was line number 61-159, a type ‘N’ Sikorsky S-61 helicopter and delivered to PIA in October 1963. Sadly it crashed near Dacca, on December 10, 1966 on a training flight. This helicopter is part of the historical fleet being simulated by VPIA heritage. Contains real world route map of PIA’s helicopter operations. Custom panel and sound.
