FS2004 KLM Boeing 747-206 JT9D. Christened “Nile”, this 747-206 went in to service with KLM on August 31, 1971 as PH-BUD, KLM’s 4th B747. Being equipped with JT9D engines, she did not under go the SUD conversion process in 1985 like her GE CF6 powered sisters. She did however fly for KLM until she was sold to America West Airlines as N534AW on July 16, 1990. Following a brief lease to Garuda Indonesian between May 2, 1992 through July 13, 1993, she returned to America West until she was sold to TWA and registered as N306TW on March 31 of 1994. She was painted in TWA’s final colors prior to the AA aquisition and subsequently scrapped. Model by Project Open Sky. Repaint by Ken Padgitt.
