FS2004 Learjet 23, version 1. The Swiss FFA P-16 jet fighter, cancelled by the federal government in the late 1950’s caught the eye of Bill Lear who saw in it the basis for a twin jet executive aircraft. He initiated the design in November 1959 and formed the Swiss American Aviation Corporation. By 1962, Lear moved the project to Wichita, Kansas and renamed the organization the Lear Jet Corporation. The prototype made its first flight on October 7, 1963. The Learjet 23 was delivered on October 13, 1964. This model features reflective textures, animated control surfaces, door and gear. By John B.
