INTRODUCTION

The ChartMap 5.0  is a program completely rebuilding with a new graphics power and a new database.

Now is possible to use the PDF format for every kind of  charts. You can everywhere download it.

The important thing is to use the conventional letter below in this tutorial (vds IMPORTANT NOTE).

Differences with the previous version:

-         Correct some bugs.

This is a new program.

ChartMap 5.0 is a small ‘stand-alone’ Windows utility for Flight Simulators allowing a number of airport charts to be stored and available on screen whilst still flying.

The use of the program is very simple and intuitive. You insert only the Airport ICAO Code and the program will show all the data stored.

INSTALLATION

Unzip the files in a directory. You can leave the same name.

The database is empty. To work download Italians Airports Charts and Procedures Series 1, 2 and 3.

Unzip all the series inside the ”AIRPORTS” FOLDER.

Figura 3

You can see all the procedures selected and you can move inside the pdf reader.

The management has all the commands of the acrobat (zoom, print, save etc.).

After you choice  the right procedure for your flight (ex. Approach chart) you can link this procedures chart in your FS (Flight Simulator)

You can have FS open or can open after run CHARTMAP and after will see this picture :

Figura 4

You can move the charts on the screen in any position and you can to put into proportion that you want.

You can choice any procedure when do you want during the flight.

ChartMap 5.0 will remain ‘on top’ of your simulator, even if you click back within the Flight Sim window.  This is done on purpose so that charts can remain viewable, and radios / VOR frequencies etc. changed whilst viewing the chart.

 IMPORTANT NOTE

You can downloading the charts from Flight Simulator website FOR Italian airport download  “Italian Airports Charts and Procedures Series 1, 2 and 3”  and unzip in ICAO CODE FOLDER.

If you want inset different airport you must follow this rules :

-      All the charts must be in pdf format and must use this conventional format and name (THESE ARE THE CONVENTIONAL NAME OF THE ENAV ITALY):

-      the first three letter will always be “ADP”

-      the four and the five letter will be the last two letter of the ICAO CODE (for instance : LICJ the last letter will be “CJ”).

-      The six, seven and eight characters will always be “1-1” until “8-1” without 7  where the 1…..8 will be the procedures (Legenda: 1 = Aerodrome Data; 2 = Aerodrome Chart; 3 = Obstacle Chart; 4= STAR Procedures; 5= Visual and approach procedures; 6= SID procedures; 8= Local Restrictions).

-      Ex. Palermo Airport will be LICJ folder and inside you will find ADPCJ1-1 ........ ADPCJ1-6. If you don’t see some ADP.... means the airport don’t have that procedure.

In the below  image you can see the AIRPORTS FOLDER with the all Italian Airport Folder.
