Manual for Stratojet Albatross

 

A: Custom Gauges

 

VERY IMPORTANT:

YOU MUST COPY THE FILE “GaugeSound.dll” INTO YOUR MAIN FS2004 FOLDER OR / AND INTO YOUR

WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 FOLDER!

If you don’t do this FS2004 will crash and returning to the desktop after selecting the aircraft.

 

 

1:

Nav Light Switch

 

This switch turns on/off the nav lights AND the logo lights

 

 

2:

Brake Help

 

Use it only on landing procedures!
The switch enables automaticaly the thrust reverser and the airbrakes as soon as all wheels has touched the ground AND you engaged the wheelbrakes!
After the plane has stopped completely, the thrust reverser returns to zero thrust (neutral) and the airbrakes are retracted.
Please disengage the "Brakehelp" after the plane has stopped or/and for taxiing!

 

 

3:

Radio Alt and Call Out

With the radio alt button you can turn on/off the radio alt display in the PFD.

It displays only the radio altitude in the range from 0 - 1.000 feets. Above 1.000 feet it display "sby" (standby).

If the radio alt is turned off it displays in the PFD "off".

 

You can turn on/off the radio alt call out function.

 

 

4:

Annunciator Test

With this button you can test the annunciator display located in the EICAS. It has an on/off function.

 

 

5:

Environemental Display

 

It displays the OAT (outside air temperature), the TAT (temperature of different aircraft parts as f.ex. the nose), the G-force,

the angle of attack and the windspeed/direction.

 

 

6:

Radar:

To use this gauge you must have Installed FSUIPC. If not, this gauge will not work!

The gauge is turned off by default. To turn it on click on the right side of the left button.

With the left button you can select the opperation mode.

With the right button you can select the range.

 

 

 

Other…

All the gauges on the main panel are custom gauges. They don’t need further explanations...




 

B: Display

 

The custom gauges are optimized to be used at a resolution of 1280x1024 and the FS2004 running in "window" mode (maximized).

Theyhas been tested only at this resolution!

 

 

 

 

C: Doors and Water Rudder

 

To open the first door press “shift + e + 1”

To open the second door press “shift + e + 2”

To extract/retract the water rudder press "shift + w" or use the lever on the throttle panel

 

 

 

 

D: Reference Data for Stratojet Albatross

 

 

 

 

VMO  - Max. authorized speed:

600 KIAS

 

MMO - Max. authorized Mach:

0.92 mach

 

VLO   - Max. speed for flaps

250 KIAS

 

VLE   - Max. speed for gear down

mach 0,75 @ 35.000 ft

 

Recommended altitude for cruising speed:

35.000 ft

 

Max. altitude:

45.000ft

 

Range: ~ 7.800 km @ cruising speed and altitude 

 

(for max. range and best fuel economy:
The higher you fly, the lower the fuel consumption)

 

 

 

Take-off speed:                               ~ 120 KIAS with flaps 10

 

Min. Landing speed:                      ~    90 KIAS with flaps 40 

 

Recommended Landing speed: ~ 125 KIAS with flaps 30

200 KIAS - 175 KIAS: Flaps 10 (to reduce the angle of attack only)

 

175 KIAS - 140 KIAS: Flaps 20

 

140 KIAS - 110 KIAS: Flaps 30
