Airspeed AS4 'Ferry'

These are just for guidance and some will vary with the fuel load.
Remember to visit the Cockpit panel first to ensure the Virtual Cockpit gauges work properly.

STARTING.     For each engine in turn  :–
Switch the Right hand Magneto on.
Press the start button.
Switch the Left hand Magneto on when the engine is running.

TAXI.
Move no faster than a person can run out of your way ~ 6 Kts.

TAKEOFF.
Align the aircraft with the runway.
Release the parking brake and increase throttle to full.
Take off is possible at 50 mph. but Safety speed is 65 mph.

CLIMB.
When clear of ground effect,
Set 1,990 rpm.
Trim for approximately 62 mph.[ about +3.8° ]

CRUISE.
set about 1,900 rpm.
Zero trim is 87 mph.

APPROACH.
Trim for approximately 76 mph.
and about 1,650 rpm.

FINALS.
Trim for approximately 60 to 65 mph.
and about 1,300 ~ 1,100 rpm.

LAND.
At no less than 55 mph.
and about 1,100 ~ 1,000 rpm.

STOPPING ENGINES.
Close the throttle.
Turn off the ignition.
