Before flying this mission, make sure you have
practiced the landing and take-off at Alpes d’Huez airport which is at an incline.
The Alpes d’Huez
airport is not recognized by FSX as a legitimate airport, why, I don’t
know!
Fly through the set of gates given, the altitude given by the
REMEMBER that flying in straight
lines from gate to gate will not be possible due to the mountains that are in
your path, adjust your heading and altitude accordingly.
I created a fly through gate close to the airport, after passing through it,
flying a rough right hand circuit and land.
TIP FOR THE ROAD. Choose the valley to climb and descent
to required altitude carefully, otherwise you will run out of space to turn.
You will make all necessary radio calls, treat Alpes d’Huez airport as unmanned.
INTRO
You are an experienced pilot who is hired to fly
medical supplies to various resorts in the area. You have just finished delivering
medical supplies to Meribel airport, which was the
first part of this mission, the second part which you are flying now, will take
you through same amazing terrain, which you know very well. You are requested by a well know
photographer, which you have agreed to take along for the ride, to plot a
beautiful route, weather permitting.
After dropping the medical supplies you are to fly to Le Versoud to end your medical supply run for this month. Remember it is getting pretty windy,
which makes it all the more challenging.
THE
The mission starts on the runway at Aosta. You have plotted the GPS with your planned route to
make it as beautiful as possible for the photographer without flying yourself
into a problem. After landing at Alpes
d’Huez airport, off load medical supplies. Recover from the windy flight. Take off again and fly to the next
mission point indicated. Follow the
gates to Le Versoud airport. Remember flying through clouds during a
VFR flight is not aloud so stay clear of them as far as possible.
