Highly detailed scenery based in
rustic Oregon, USA. Featuring handcrafted macros, CUSTOM textures and
nightlighting, static aircraft, lots of people, large open hangers, small
general hangers, helipad, custom tower and plenty of old-world flare!
Thomas
Von Sanger came to America in 1937 with the dream to further his love of
aviation and to raise his family. He settled in Oregon and started a small
airfield to nourish his growing collection of aircraft. Soon people from nearby
started to use the strip and it became a well-known place for pilots in the
area. Originally called “Von Sanger Aerodome”, it became a Mecca for pilots and
aviation enthusiasts from miles around.
Von Sanger Aerodome circa 1947
Thomas
Von Sanger’s family has gone to great lengths to keep his dream alive while
staying up to par with current times. The airfield still retains much of the
European flavor and style from when it first started, but now caters to a
broader base of aircraft and purposes. Sanger’s family has grown and expanded
into many areas of operations. Home to the world famous “Sanger Pines”, David
Sanger has a thriving greenhouse export business, while Hans Sanger runs a
charter service consisting of 2 Piper Cheyenne III’s. Home to many Sportsman’s
retreats and guide services, the area is teeming with wildlife, yet closely
watched by the U.S. Fish and game services.
Installation:
Just unzip into a temp folder and then place the “Sanger” folder, which
includes the scenery and texture subfolders, into the “ADD ON SCENERY” folder
in FS2002. Start the simulator and go to the scenery library and add Sanger to
the list, hit OK!
You will
need to have Gerrish Grey’s tree textures in your main FS2002 texture folder or
you will not see them. You can download these at any major FS site.
