Salmon Run

The owner of the Flying B Ranch has asked you to give him a hand today. He needs to get to McCall to pickup some guests that will be coming in to stay for the week.

Since he recently broke his hand, he has asked you to do the flying. Enjoy the Idaho back country as you run through the canyons to get over to McCall flying VFR.

The winds aloft today are a little to strong to make it worth going "up and over". Run the canyons and enjoy the scenery. Remember, these are shorft, high altitude strips so set your mixture and check the density altitude.

Note:

• You will be directed through the canyons as you fly. Try to keep under the ridge tops to stay out of the wind
• Check you mixture settings before takeoff to ensure maximum power is available.

Navigation

Your general course will be West through the No Return Wilderness area along the Salmon River.

Follow the river and roads as directed and look out for the landmarks that are pointed out to you.

Communications

Up here the radio is a bit informal. Your co-pilot will handle all the communications.
