Pilot's Handling Notes for a Savoia Marchetti S.M.81 with Alfa Romeo 126/RC34 engines

*************************************************************************************

The three 750hp Alfa Romeo 126/RC34 (Bristol Pegasus) engines have automated mixture controls, and manually applied carb heat controls. Superchargers give rated power up to 3400 metres.

Each engine can briefly deliver 780hp for war emergency use below 3500 metres.

NEVER EXCEED 2200 RPM

CAUTION - Max cruise power RPM limited at high altitude

WAR EMERGENCY - never exceed 2415 RPM

AUTOMIXTURE - This engine has Automixture in real life. Turn automixture ON in the FS9 realism screen before flight.

Design cruise altitude is 5000 metres but at light weights step climb to 6Km.
