RNLE2 FAQ
There are many points in your Aircraft.cfg
witch you can use as your reference points.
For wing lights I always look at main gears. i add a simple light effect such as green light and
try to realize a position between gears and fuselage. it doesn’t need to be the
exact point because your nav light effect size is
about 1 unit, but lighting effect is larger than one (it is 3~4).
After adding these new points, I refresh my aircraft on FS and look
for the position witch I realized. I do this until I find the best position.
Then I replace nav light effect with RNLE2
and again look in FS for final positioning.
So you see it is as easiest as you can imagine. It just needs some
time and patience.
Here is the references witch I always use:
For wing/fuselage/engines lights I use main gears or engines
(depends on aircraft type) as reference.
For nose light I use VC light or nose gear as my reference
For logo light I use rear scrap point.

Q: I’m using some of these aircrafts as AI traffic. Effect is working fine
when I use those aircrafts (like Mike Stone 727) , but
I can not see this effect on my AI. How can I fix this?
·
A: I have no idea !. I try every trick I know to
solve this problem. I even linked this effect to AI nav
light/strobes/beacon but it doesn’t work at all. I also noticed that all other
types of reflective lights such as beacons will not work on AI. So I believe it
must be a bug.
·
Q:
My nose light is still on when gears are up and it is not realistic. Is
there anyway to fix this?
·
A: Yes. Your nose light in RNLE2 is
linked to your aircrafts taxi light. But there is no way to assign a key for
taxi light with FS itself. the only way is to assign a
key with FSUIPC or use any taxi light gauge to turn control it.
·
Q:
When should I use this light effect?! ( believe
or not someone asked me this question before!!!)
·
A: it depend on your situation ( Weather , Time,
you Altitude ,…..).
………Finally I hope you enjoy
this Effect and if you have still any Questions or problems feel free to
contact me VIA my e-mail ( kavehpd@hotmail.com
