Hawker Fury

These are just for guidance and some will vary with fuel load.

STARTING  set:-

Main Tank cock selected.Open Radiator door.

Throttle slightly open. Mixture rich.

Turn Magnetos on and Start engine [Using CTL+E].

Taxi:-

Keep the speed down to below 6 mph.

TAKEOFF:-

Close Radiator door.

Run up to 1,000 rpm, release brakes and increase to full throttle.

Minimum Take Off speed is 65 mph.

Safety speed is 80 mph.

Reduce to 2,000 rpm. at ≈500 ft.

CLIMB:-

Adjust trim to Climb at ≈135 mph. 2,000 rpm.

At 3,000 ft. set about 40% mixture. – (check EGT & rpm.)

CRUISE:-

At ≈180 mph. and ≈2,170 rpm.

APPROACH:-

Trim for ≈100 mph. and 1,400 rpm.

FINALS:-

Trim for 80 mph. and ≈1,100 rpm. [for ≈ -500 fpm.]

FLARE:-

70 - 65 mph. and Minimum rpm.

Landing:-

Do not apply brakes until tail is down and speed is below 50 mph.
