Dear

This package
contains the work of many exceptional FS designers and more specific
in this package you will find :

- Real
Life Procedures, Performance and Limitation Tables
The
aircraft is based on the original by HJG
Pacific Western B707-351C. Only the textures and packaging, is something
I did after a long time of accurate "painting". HJG
[Historical Jetliners Group] is one of the most organised places I have
found on the net regarding old jets, not to mention how respectable
and admireable their work is! Dont forget to visit HJG
Site!
Smoke Effects included in this package belong to one of the HJG
Members, Marco Balzarotti, who has done an extremely good job!
[Press the "I" key to see the black smoke coming out of the
turbofan engines]
Sounds. Another masterpiece originaly created by Daniel R. Carer
and modified by Charles Fox. I will not say more on this...just listen
:-)
Flight
Dynamics of this aircraft is by Ron Freimuth and Paul Golding. This
air file is specialy built in order to be used together with HJG B707
and Paul Goldings FREEWARE FS2002 panel for B707-320 that is NOT
included in this package!
Real
Life Performance, Limitation and Procedures tables, are compiled
by Matt Zagoren. These PDF files will give you the opportunity to follow
the real life procedures and NOT burn the JT3D-7/3B turbofan engines
:-) The installation will put these files in your "B707 Olympic
Airways" Aircraft folder (tables subfolder).
Panel
by Paul
Golding is highly recommend and thats the reason I have included
a special panel.cfg file -> Paul_Golding_panel.cfg in the
panel folder for you who want to use Paul Golding Panel!
Note: Some users have reported crashes from this exceptional
panel, something that can be solved if you avoid changing more than
2 views as Paul Golding informed me!
The
Real Life Aircraft - Olympic Airways B707-351C was named "City
of Thebes" and had the registration SX-DBP. Ex N365US Registration
number. Finally it was tranfered in Arizona's Aircraft Cemetery and
was used for spare parts. MSN/LN: 19163/494 Buyed: 5/1973
Engines: P&W JT3D-3B.
Before
Proceeding with the installation procedure [which is very simple],
I would like to thank all the gentlemen mentioned above and mainly
HJG for maintaining
Historical Jetliners alive in our virtual world of Flight Simulator!
Also I would like to thank Uwe Bestmann, the repainter of Lufthansa
B707, whose work was a great inspiration for me and made me decide
to proceed with this project for Olympic Airways B707-351C.

file and follow the instructions.
During
Installation, pay special attention in four things:

the correct FS2002 folder when requested [NOT the aircraft
folder of FS2002],
2. The
aircraft will be installed in your Aircrafts folder as "B707
Olympic Airways".
3. In
the "tables" subfolder of "B707 Olympic Airways"
folder you will find Real Life Performance, Limitation and Procedures
tables, compiled by Matt Zagoren.
4. In
the "panel" subfolder of "B707 Olympic Airways"
folder , you will also find a special panel.cfg file -> Paul_Golding_panel.cfg
. Rename this file to panel.cfg if you have already installed
Paul
Golding's Panel!
After
installation, you may select the aircraft from the FS2002 Aircrafts

Real
Life Information about the Boeing 707
|
Beginning
as the Model 367-80 in 1952, the Boeing 707 was to become the first
turbine-engine powered aircraft in the US. The basic design, first unveiled
in 1954, was derived from the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser civil and KC-97
military transports and especially the B-47 Stratojet bomber. The 707
saw many improvements over its production lifetime, namely sporting
numerous engines ranging from the original Pratt & Whitney JT3C
turbojets to the final, much-improved, JT3D-7 turbofans. So successful
was the Boeing 707 concept that it has served as the basis for all future
Boeing transports to the current day as well as those of its rivals.
By the time production finally ended in 1991, 1,010 aircraft had been
built for passenger, freight, and military operations. Many will remain
in service, especially with African and South American operators, well
into the 21st century.
