Approach adventure which features recordings from the cockpit of an A340-200 on approach to London Heathrow Intl. This environment is "as real as it gets" in the sound department.

 

 

FEATURES:

 

In this adventure you will hear ATC as recorded by an A340 first officer on approach into London Heathrow Intl. Airport. The adventure starts on decent some 10 NM from BIGGIN VOR tracking 319° and listening to the Heathrow ATIS broadcast. The sound files cover all the ATC communications right down to the landing clearance.
 

Here is a brief overview of some of the features in this ATC adventure:

  • Adventure in "real time", ATC descent instructions and vectors follow the real approach.
  • On-board (real) first officer makes all the radio calls
  • FO tunes radios and NAVAIDS
  • Background ATC includes the actual air traffic on the day of the recording
  • A340 GPWS Altitude calls (400, 300, 100 above, 200, 100,50, 40, 30, 20, retard, 10, 5)
  • Designed for FS2002 (not tested in FS2000 but should work, see FAQ/Help)
