These are just for guideance.

 

STARTING  set:-

Throttle slightly open. Tank cock open. Mixture rich.

Ignition on and Start engine.

Run as slowly as possible for 30 secs.

Then warm up at 1,000 ~ 1,200 rpm.

 Check oil pressure rises.

 Check full engine speed of approx. 2000 RPM.

 Check mag. drop of less than 50 RPM.

Minimum rpm. for normal running is 1,000 rpm.

 

TAXYING:-

Use Differential brakes.

 

TAKEOFF:-

Set +3.9° of trim.

Run up to 1,500 rpm. release brakes and increase to full throttle.

Maximum rpm. to 1,000 ft.

Take off speed is 65 mph.

Safety speed is 70 mph.

 

CLIMB:-

Climb at 80 mph. To 3,000 ft. (typically)

2000 rpm.  +3.9° trim.

 

CRUISE:-

At  124 mph. 2,010 rpm. -2.6° trim.

 

APPROACH:-

70 mph. 1,470 rpm. +6.3° trim.

 

FINALS:-

For about -500 fpm.

65 mph. 1,050 rpm. +8.0° trim.

With Flaps 60 mph. 1,160 rpm. +11.0° trim

 

FLARE:-

45 mph. Minimum rpm.

 

AFTER LANDING:-

Run engine at 600 ~ 700 rpm. Until cool:

Stop engine and leave all electrics off.
