START:

  1. Increase RPM to 6000 with brakes applied
  2. Flaps in start position
  3. Release brakes
  4. Increase to full throttle ( 7950 – 8000 rpm , EGT min 600 max 750 degr Celcius)
  5. Lift nosewheel slightly at 220 km/h . Rotate softly at 290 km/h
  6. Gear In at 315 km/h ( max speed for gear out is 450 km/h)
  7. Flaps In at 325 km/h ( max speed for flaps in startposition is 400 km/h . )

Remarks : Start with a high nose attitude brings the wingtips close to ground ( ca 1 m)

The wingtip touches ground if the banking angle exceeds 10 degr !

At sidewind starts , avoid this by keeping a lower nose attitude until the

aircraft is about 5 m over ground!

CLIMBING :

          Max RPM   650 km/h  ; M 0.7

CRUISING :

          Normal RPM is 7200

GLIDE and PLANÉ :

The throttle can be brought back fully to Idle position without risk for flameout.

( idle rpm is about 4500 at low speed and altitude )

[ in this simulation its not an option to stop the engine by surpass the idlestop ]

Speed for max glide-distance with  engine out is 400 km/h.

Recommended  speed for ATC controlled plane is 550 km/h , 6000 rpm ,

          and airbrake “0”.

BEFORE LANDING :

The flight should be planned so that minimum 350 litres of fuel is available at touchdown .

( in case of a go-around , and the fact that fuel , under retardation accumulates in the front parts

of the tanks – avoid then to use airbrakes !  )

LANDING :

  1. Turn off autopilote , if engaged
  2. Reduce throttle to idle , apply airbrakes and reduce speed to 450 km/h
  3. Disengage airbrakes and make Gear Out. Check gear indicators .
  4. Flaps to Start Position and reduce speed to 350 km/h on downwind line

Control attitude, speed and altitude with throttle and stick

  1. Make a wide turn baseline to final while reducing altitude
  2. At 350 to 300 km/h ,flaps to landing position
  3. At end of turn reduce speed to 300 km/h
  4. Reduce speed gradually during the last phase of finale to reach 260 km/h  at threshold
  5. Idle rpm at threshold when the landing feels “secure”

Remarks:

In turbulent air increase the speed values slightly

If landing must be performed direct after start the center of gravity is forward.

Make use of flaps in Start Position and the recommended touchdown speed is

      then 270 km/h

  1.  Touch down on the maingearwheels with only slight rotation
  2.  Keep the nose as high as possible without risk that the tail goes into ground
  3.  Put the nosewheel gently down at 150 km/h
  4.  Apply brakes after the nosewheel has reach the ground

Remarks :

        Touchdown speed is normally 230 – 240 km/h

This results that the aircraft can easily be brought to stop within 1500 m at zero headwind.

Brakes may not be applied at touchdown !

ABORTED LANDING :

1.        Full throttle

2.        Gear In

3.        Flaps in Start Position and climb straight ahead with minimum 300 km/h

4.        At controllable altitude – Flaps In
