Navigation

The flight takes place under Visual Flight Rules. Your planned route takes you from Ohio State University Airport (KOSU) South over OSU campus  to downtown Columbus then East to (KVTA) before heading toward that state up North.  You will fly from Sandusky over Lake Erie into Michigan, head Northwest to Ann Arbor and the UM campus.  You will be landing at Ann Arbor Municipal Airport (KARB). The route is loaded into the GPS (press SHIFT+3 to display/hide).

You can navigate in this mission by following the Mission Compass and Mission Pointer.  The flight plan (if loaded) follows the course fairly well.  For a more challenging experience, you can turn the Mission Compass and Mission Pointer off (press U).

Communications

You will control the aircraft and all systems including the radio.  Although not required, for a more complete experience you may contact ATC yourself to report departures, request flight following and request landing. Upon landing at KARB you must contact ATC to request taxi to parking.
