Installation

1 ) Double Click setup.exe to start the installation program

2)  Once installation starts, follow the prompts

3)  If you do not have the FSUIPC.DLL file installed to your Flight Simulator\Modules folder, Install it now.

What is the FSUIPC.DLL file?

The FSUIPC.DLL file is a Microsoft Flight Simulator add on file that many third party developers require for their applications.  FS Flight Tracker uses this file with the permission of it's author Peter Dawson.

How do I know if I have the FSUIPC.DLL file installed?

The FSUIPC file should be installed to your Flight Simulator\Modules folder.  For example, on our development PC it is located in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\Modules

I don't have the FSUIPC.DLL file installed. Where can I get it?

The FS Flight Tracker installation will copy the FSUIPC.DLL file and documentation to your PC in the following folder:

..\Program Files\FS Flight Tracker\FSUIPC

Files included in the FSUIPC folder:

• FSUIPC.DLL (Version 2.8.7.0)
• FSUIPC History.doc
• FSUIPC Users Guide.doc
• FSUIPC for Advanced Users.doc

I don't see the FSUIPC.DLL file in the FSUIPC folder.  Where is it?

You may need to adjust the settings on your PC to view the file.  Try the following:

• Open Windows Explorer’s View menu.
• Select “Folder Options”
• Select the “View” tab.
• Choose either the “Show all files” button or the “Do not show hidden files”—anything but the “Do not show hidden or system files” button! (Windows 98 now seems to regard all DLLs as system files).

How do I install the FSUIPC.DLL file?

Simply place it in your Flight Simulator\Modules directory.  For example, on our development PC it is located in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\Modules
