Formerly the home of English Electric,
Warton is famous as the manufacturing site for aircraft
such as the Canberra, Lightning and (in part) the TSR2.
More recently it was the production base for the
Tornado, and export versions of both the Tornado and
Hawk can still be seen operating here. Of course,
British Aerospace is now heavily committed to the
Eurofighter Typhoon programme, and examples of this
aircraft type regularly fly from Warton on Test Duties.
History &
Project Development
Designed
using Groundmaker, Paint Shop Pro, Airport version 2.6
& AFCAD, this rendition of Warton is fairly hard on
the frame rates. As such, any feedback on the airport is
essential so an upate can be done. Buildings have been
left to a minimum to try to reduce the impact on frame
rates.
