Details & Instructions
CIAL
Version 1.0

Dear User,
This is my first scenery design project. This scenery is designed in GMAX for use with Microsoft FS2002/COF. This scenery features the Cochin International Airport located in the state of Kerala, India. The scenery includes High detailed passenger terminals and cargo terminals. The scenery uses the default runway and taxiways.

About CIAL
CIAL is the first International Airport in the country outside the ambit of the Government of India. This airport has been constructed to enable any type of wide bodied aircraft to land with state of the art facilities. The ground handling at the airport is done by Air India.The Airport is also suitable for operations of wide bodied Boeing - 747 type of Aircraft

Cochin International Airport is the first green field airport in private sector in India, planned and constructed from scratch and capable of expansion on a modular basis. Around 1500 acres of land was acquired for the airport and the airport has been constructed with facilities matching International Standards.The ground handling operations at the airport are carried by Air India, M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is operating a state of the art Hydrant Refueling System for the aircraft's calling at this airport.

Installation

Once you unzip the file (cial.zip) you will get 2 folders named VOCI (with two subdirectories \scenery and \texture) and AFCAD2. Cut and paste the VOCI folder in your FS2002|Flight simulator 9\Addon Scenery folder. Start FS2002/4 and goto the scenery library option and add the scenery folder as VOCI. Now close FS2002/04. In your base folder (FS2002|Flight simulator 9) you will find the scenery.cfg file. Open the file using note pad and search for "VOCI". You will find something similar to the following.

[Area.XXX]
Title=Cochin International
Local=Addon Scenery\VOCI
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=XXX

You will have to add a new line to the bottom of this to make the scenery appear properly. Copy the line below and paste it in your scenery.cfg just after the Layer line.

Exclude=N10 09.60,E76 22.75,N10 09.27,E76 23.75,objects, vors

Now your scenery.cfg will look like this

[Area.XXX]
Title=Cochin International
Local=Addon Scenery\VOCI
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=XXX

Exclude=N10 09.60,E76 22.75,N10 09.27,E76 23.75,objects, vors

Now cut and paste the AF2_VOCI.bgl in the afcad2 folder to your Flight simulator 9\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder. This is the AFCAD2 file for FS2004. I am not sure if this will work in FS2002.

Thats it!!! You are all set to fly in and out of the new CIAL

Working the Aero Bridges

This scenery features animated aerobridges which are operated by the user based on NAV1 and NAV2 frequencies. Once the aircraft comes to a complete stop, set the NAV1 frequency to 112.00 if you are using GATE1 OR set NAV2 to 112.00 if you are using GATE2. This will result in the aerobridge moving towards the aircraft and docking with it. Once you change the frequency from 112.00 the bridge will retract and move away for the aircraft. When you stop your aircraft please make sure you are stopping at the right marker, otherwise it will result in the bridge docking to some part of the aircraft other than the door.
