The Canadian Historical Adventure Flight 2

In this flight you will reenact a flight made in 1928 by "Wop" May when he flew medical supplies into Fort Vermillion. "Wop" received the Order of the British Empire for making this flight which saved many lives. This flight uses a Curtis Jenny which "Wop" flew around the city for many years. The actual flight was made in a different aircraft but since the Jenny is in FS2004 and it is an aircraft that "Wop" flew extensively I thought it was appropriate for the flight.

You can read the story about "Wop" May and this flight here - http://www.calverley.ca/Part03-Transportation/3-001.html.

Navigation and flight information

To make this flight a bit shorter you will start out from Peace River and fly to Fort Vermillion. The flight will be about 150 NM's so you will have to refuel enroute. Do this by landing in a clearing and refueling through the menu. Unfortunately I do not know how to design scenery or I would have added a fuel up point.

Take off from Peace River and follow the river north to Fort Vermillion. The river will turn to the east about 40-50 NM away from Fort Vermillion. The Fort Vermillion airport is right on the shore of the river, you can't miss it (unless the weather gets really bad!).

I hope you enjoy this flight, if you have any comments you can send them to me at davidvoogd@rogers.com .
