CHECK LIST

BEFORE STARTING
Parking Brake - SET
Avionics - OFF
Fuel Selectors - ON
Battery and Generators - ON 
Fuel - CHECK QUANTITY
 
STARTING
Press Ctrl-E to initiate autostart sequence or ...
use Autostart switch on panel ...or
Check fuel switches ON
Check propeller in high RPM position (up)
Check throttle in idle position
Start individual engines with starter switches.
Monitor oil pressure
Check generators ON

AFTER START
Avionics - ON
Lights - ON AS REQUIRED
Brakes - RELEASE & CHECK
All instruments - CHECK FOR FUNCTION
Fuel Gauges - CHECK QUANTITY INDICATED
Trim - AS REQUIRED FOR TAKEOFF (VERY SLIGHTLY NOSE UP)
Flaps - CHECK AND SET FOR TAKEOFF (20º for short runway)
Flight Controls - Check proper direction and freedom of movement
Pitot heat - As required
Parking Brake - OFF

TAKEOFF
Oil Temperature and Pressure - CHECK
Throttles - FULL
Propellers - MAX RPM

CLIMB
Throttles - FULL
Propellers 2700 RPM
Airspeed 90 kts
Oil - CHECK TEMP & PRESSURE

CRUISE CLIMB
Throttles - FULL
Propellers - 2500 RPM
Airspeed 100 kts

CRUISE
Throttles - MANIFOLD GAUGE 22
Propellers - 2200 RPM
Mixture - SET FOR ALTITUDE (or use auto mixture)

DESCENT
Altimeter set (press B to autoset current setting)
Flaps - AS REQUIRED
Power - As required. (Avoid prolonged idle setting during descent)

BEFORE LANDING
Fuel control switches - CHECK ON
Mixture - Full Rich (or use auto mixture)
Flaps - Approach, 20º when below 95 kts
use 50º of flap for short runways and/or steep approaches.
Airspeed - Establish normal approach speed (approx 80 kts)
Add 10 kts to approach speed in crosswind or gusty conditions
Propellers - HIGH RPM
Landing Lights - ON

AFTER LANDING (CLEAR OF RUNWAY)
Lights - Landing lights off, taxi lights as required.
Trim - Set to neutral
Flaps - UP

SHUT DOWN
Parking Brake - SET
Propellers - HIGH RPM
Throttles - IDLE
Pitot Heat - OFF
Lights and Avionics - OFF
Fuel cut-off switches - OPERATE
Generators - OFF
Battery - OFF
