RUSSIAN PILOT starts a RACE and OVERTAKES 3 B757 – TUPOLEV TU204 vs. BOEING 757 (4K)This russian Tupolev TU-204 pilot noticed a long queue of airplanes taxing to the active runway. He just switched to the parallel Taxiway and overtook three normal taxing Boeing 757`s which were just taxing to the runway with normal speed. Just check the speed difference between the high speed taxing TU204 and the first Boeing 757. Definitly a funny situation especially cause lots of people regard the Tupolev TU-204 as the russian Boeing 757. Probably the russian pilot just wanted to make a statement to show the Boeing 757 pilots who is the best.
The morning rush at Leipzig Airport begins at 04:00 and I was at the spot at around 04:30am. Unsual spotting time for me. Sunrise was at 04:40am. Between 04:00am and 06:30am around 70 DHL Airplanes depart. Among them are Boeing 757` s, Airbus A300` s. Boeing 767`s and Boeing 777`s. Leipzig is the place to be for a “Cargospotter”.
