(4K) Volga-Dnepr Ilyushin IL-76 and Heavy Aircraft Friday Planespotting at Chicago O’Hare AirportThe Ilyushin IL-76! Finally! I add this aircraft type to my collection of “spotted/filmed” at Chicago O’Hare …or anywhere else for that matter. Unfortunately the takeoff was to be much later at night so I was not able to get the departure. Still very overjoyed to finally check this one off the list despite the dreary weather. My videos aren’t glossy and pretty but they get the job done. This rare bird was in town delivering medical supplies from what I heard.

Although these are difficult times for many and I would never wish misfortune on anyone, I do have to say I am enjoying the change of variety at the ol’ ORD these days. We’re seeing lots of planes we usually would never see otherwise.

Some other planes got a little jealous of the attention our rare special visitor was getting and asked to make it into the video as well so I gladly obliged and added them here on the end to make a decent-length feature. It’s Heavy Aircraft Friday: Bonus Weekend Edition 🙂
