Very First! Philippine Airlines Airbus A350-941 Landing and De-Icing | Toronto Pearson Int’l

Very First! Philippine Airlines Airbus A350-941 Landing and De-Icing | Toronto Pearson Int’lOn Friday night, several aviation geeks pointed out that Saturday night’s Philippine Airlines’ flight was showing an Airbus A350 on both Flight Radar 24 and Flight Aware. Several of us thought it was a glitch since the airline had planned Airbus A350 service into Toronto effective on 31MAR19.

Well, the next day we all saw Philippine Airlines with an Airbus A350-941 enroute to Toronto and concluded that it was probably a one off substitution and would be the very first Philippine Airways Airbus A350-941 into Toronto.

The flight arrived into Toronto as PAL118 on RWY 23 and parked at Terminal 3, gate C36. The departure, PAL119 was positive de-ice with a RWY 23 departure but by the time we got around to that, heavy fog had set in and the ground crew of the flight were having massive issues with a push-bar pin while pushing the flight back. By the time the flight had gotten to the Central De-Icing Facility on PAD 4C, it was nearly impossible to see anything. After de-ice was completed, the were looped back around the facility for a RWY 33R departure back to Manila.

Enjoy the video everyone! And I’ll catch you all in the next one!
