Canadian International Air Show 2018 ArrivalsHello everyone! Welcome to this video! And its that time of year again! Airshow time at Toronto Pearson Int’l! The 69th Canadian International Air Show is about to get underway.
We are starting things off on 26-27AUG18 with the arrival of the USAF Thunderbirds. Thunderbird 8 arrived on Sunday afternoon from their show at Thunder Over Michigan with the rest of Thunderbirds 1-7 on Monday afternoon with their USAF C-17 Globemaster III coming in as TBIRD14 bringing in support equipment for the show.
On 30AUG18, the two spare CF Snowbirds and the Demo Hornet from the RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team came by early afternoon to do two flyby’s of the tower and conclude a photo shoot. The two spare Snowbirds landed on RWY 06L but the Demo Hornet went to London to test the arrestor cable system ahead of next weeks Airshow London. The USAF F-35 Lightning II Heritage Flight Team followed next with two F-35’s landing on RWY 06L without a flyover or break. Then the USAF Thunderbirds departed off of RWY 06L to meet up with the CF Snowbirds for a photo shoot over Long Point which later that night became concluded that the USN Blue Angels joined them due to a ton of photos of the three teams appearing on social media that followed up. The CF Snowbirds came in with a pitch up over RWY 06R to land followed by the USAF Thunderbirds.
On 31AUG18, the RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team arrived in the morning from Bagotville. He was supposed to come to Toronto on the Thursday but after departing London, he had some mechanical issues and had to go to Bagotville. HORNET01 arrived in Toronto with a flyby of both the towers before landing on a tight arrival pattern into RWY 05 to conclude this years arrivals.
