RARE! 2x Royal Canadian Air Force Hornets @ Toronto Pearson Int’l
RARE! 2x Royal Canadian Air Force Hornets @ Toronto Pearson Int’l March 23, 2018Well, I am glad I was able to get these birds again, two Royal Canadian Air Force CF-188A and B Hornet’s at Toronto Pearson Int’l and here is how it unfolded:
So on 22MAR18, Thursday night, someone shot a message through our Facebook group that a fighter jet landed. I was just coming out of work at the time and staring straight at Signature Aviation where I was able to see two Royal Canadian Air Force Hornet’s taxiing in. I did not have my camera on me at the time so I got the footage with my phone and then got some video shots after work of both of them parked. They were 4 Wing 409 Squadron birds who were part of the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE) training unit and were doing test flights around Canada.
The next day, 23MAR18, I headed out to Toronto Pearson Int’l to catch the Hornet’s taking off and then, luckily, I had happened to be listening to ATC and they were allowed to do a flyover on RWY 15R with a low and over. Well, they kinda did a high and over in my eyes but I was glad to still have caught them flying over.
A bonus shot! Here’s three United States Army Raytheon Aircraft Company MC-12S Liberty’s parked at Signature Aviation on 19MAR18 that arrived from the United States and over-nighted. All but one departed the next morning due to the fact that it broke down and is still parked away at one of the hangars at the North End.
Enjoy the video! And I’ll catch you all in the next one!
