CAVOK Air Antonov An-12 Take off RWY 24R @ Toronto Pearson Int’l November 16, 2016Hello everyone! Boy, do I love it when I wake up in the morning and a rare aircraft files a flight plan. In this case, I had no time to get the landing but I sure as hell did to get the departure. I never thought I’d be saying this but today, I headed out to Toronto Pearson Int’l to catch a CAVOK Air Antonov An-12 pushing back and taking off of RWY 24R. The aircraft arrived today from Bangor, parked at Cargo West Gate 501 and picked up parts it was delivering to San Juan for an Air Canada Airbus A320-200’s broken engine. I was able to get the Clearance which told me he was off of RWY 24R, the push back and the takeoff. But the takeoff was the best! And to my relief, he was heavy, and smoking! A picture perfect departure! Couldn’t have been better! Enjoy the video!

ALERT: This aircraft should be returning to CYYZ on Saturday to drop off the broken engine parts. I’ll update the info here if I get any word on times.
