Antonov Airlines Antonov An-124-100 Landing Toronto Pearson

Antonov Airlines Antonov An-124-100 Landing RWY 05 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l January 15, 2016IN THIS VIDEO:

Hello everyone! Welcome to another rare catch! And just so it happens to be, we are starting the year off with a rare. The first Antonov for the year. This was an Antonov Airlines Antonov An-124-100 that came in from the Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington as a ferry flight and was to be picking up automotive parts and taking them out Tuesday afternoon. I got word of the aircraft from a friend of mine on Thursday night, and since I wasn’t going to school because of a week and a half long exam review period, I decided to spend some of the day at Toronto Pearson Int’l. I settled at RWY 05 to wait for the aircraft to come in, almost right under the markers. When he appeared on final, it was an awesome sight. To our knowledge, we were told it was in the old colours as also seen from FlightRadar 24 but as soon as we saw it on final we saw that it was painted in the new colours. No big deal really, at least we got an Antonov. After the landing, me and 3 other guys floored it big time to the Cargo West to catch it taxiing in. Literally the fastest car chase after a plane I had ever experienced. And it was sure worth it. Big thanks to a friend of mine, who works for Sky Service, for coming up in his pick up to say hi and chat a bit. That’s all for now everyone, Enjoy the video and I’ll see you all in the next one! 😀
