Antonov An-225 Landing RWY 05 At Toronto Pearson Int’l

RARE VLOG: Antonov An-225 Landing RWY 05 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l November 17, 2014

IN THIS VIDEO: Welcome to may very first rare vlog! From now when whenever there is a rare, instead of narrating, I’ll still narrate and make a vlog as well giving the general information of the rare. And today was the mother of all rares!! First landing in history of the Antonov An-225 Mriya. Here is how is started:

We got the word on Friday which I posted on YouTube and the Toronto Pearson Aviation Group. Starting on Saturday, the route was Kiev-Leipzig-Doncaster-Keflavik-Goose Bay-Toronto. Kiev-Leipzig was completed Saturday. The route from Leipzig-Doncaster should have been completed on Saturday evening but was pushed to Sunday morning. This also pushed the arrival time at the airports forward a day, for Toronto, it was supposed to be November 16 at 11:30pm but the new one was November 17 at 6:30am. The rest of the flight from Doncaster-Keflavik-Goose Bay was all flown overnight on Sunday. And I can tell you, I didn’t sleep much, only 4 hours. Then came Goose Bay-Toronto. Monday morning arrival time was 6:41am pushed to 7:09am, since it had to enter a hold. Predicted right it did land at RWY 05, did catch the landing but the focus sadly got in the way, again, with all the lighting. She was huge!

We then headed to the Infield where there were more people and to tell you the truth, it was parked in the best way ever. Facing almost right at you. We stayed to get some more shots, and even caught the nose opening! What luck and several more shots including the cargo and what it might be containing inside the aircraft, according to Canadian aviation News it’s mining and welding equipment! Anyways, that was all, aircraft is to remain here until Wednesday when it will depart, at 7:00am, destination still being unknown. Finished it off and that was it, the first Antonov An-225 Mriya Landing at Toronto Pears Int’l. history in the making.
