FSX – Cottbus-Derwitz and Preschen Airbase’s

cd1

FSX – Cottbus-Derwitz and Preschen Airbase’s. Two East German airforce fighter airfields from the pre 1990 era these have been adapted from my own FS9 scenerys, ive re-work’d the ground polys, retextured some of my own objects and changed most of the texture bmps to DDS format for better performance. You will need a version of GGSE by John Stinstrom, most versions will work.

Apart from the above, the scenerys are complete with my own objects and from other designers, i’d like to thank the designers of the radars and Vehicles, which i downloaded from the Avsimrus FS2004 designers page, and work just fine in FSX, there are some small issues with textures on some of these objects but you’ll have to look really close to spot them 🙂

Both airfields also come complete with basic FSX traffic files and you’ll need to download and install “mpai_mig21_ai_traffic_03.zip” by Mike Pearson Although for FS9, Mikes aircraft seem to work perfect in FSX.

The Preschen scenery also has an emergency runway from a nearby Autobahn, to start your flight from here, go to mil_combat parking 63 from the “choose runway/starting position” drop down menu, you may also want to set the Road Vehicle trffic slider to zero, or you’ll have to force your way out onto the road through traffic, find this in SETTINGS / DISPLAY / TRAFFIC, at the bottom, in the land-sea traffic box
